oExtension of the declaration of property of individuals for 2013
According to decision nr. POL. 1212/2013 of the Ministry of Finance, the deadline for the electronic completion and submission of the declaration of property of individuals (Form E9) for land within the city plan or settlement and buildings (within or outside the city plan) is extended to September 20th, 2013.
Also, the deadline for the electronic completion and submission of the declaration of property of individuals (Form E9) for agricultural parcels is extended to October 14th, 2013.
Please note that, according to article 23 of Law 3427/2005, as applies, any natural or legal person, regardless of his/ her nationality and residence or place of business, having the full ownership or bare ownership or usufruct on property located in Greece, has the legal obligation to make a declaration of property at any case of a change of his/ her property or marital status (for natural persons) on the first of January of this year. oSuspension of Operation of Tax Offices – Taxpayers Service Offices Since September 1st, 2013, the operation of the following last fourteen (14) Tax Offices in island regions has been suspended by decision of the Ministry of Finance, ie the Tax Offices of:
Aghios Kirikos, Aegina, Andros, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kea, Limnos, Milos, Poros, Skiathos, Skopelos, Spetses, Tinos and Hydra.
Where the operation of Tax Offices has been suspended, tax payers may be served by Taxpayers Service Offices (TSO), which are located in buildings of the local authorities.
At Taxpayers Service Offices (TSO), citizens may conduct all transactions, so far conducted at Tax Offices (decision of the Ministry of Finance nr. D6A 1157277 EX / 15.11.2012). oCirculation Tax for cars paid by month The Ministry of Finance already examines a fairer system for the Greek car market, according to European standards. Already, a draft of law is prepared by the Ministry, according to which the Circulation Tax and the Tax of Luxury Living for cars with engines of 1.929 cc or more can be paid equally for each month these cars move and not for the whole year. Thus, according to this new draft of law, the Circulation Tax will be shared equally between the twelve (12) months of each year, and anyone shall pay the appropriate price, depending on the number of months he wishes to use his vehicle.
